WENDI BRYANT DIAMOND
Born in South Georgia, raised along the coast and in the mountains. Wendi found her way to art in middle school through her mentor and teacher, Analisa Taylor. Wendi continued with her art through high school and received her B.A. in Art and Art History from Queens College(Queens University of Charlotte). Wendi went on to study photography at Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) but switched to Art Education and completed her M.A.Ed. at The University of Georgia. Wendi broke from her art for almost 25 years to pursue teaching, wife, mother, and family business partner. Her Garden has been her palette for the past 10 years. Orchid Lane Studio was opened in October of 2017, at her home in Asheville, NC. Wendi has jumped in full speed to get her hands into acrylic, oil,paper, wax, jewelry, photography, and her newest love MIXED MEDIA. Wendi creates from the gardens around her. Her husband, a new beekeeper, has sparked her interest in the beautiful insect that creates so much life, the Honey Bee.
